The amount of home service owners doing over $500k+ a year who still answer their own phone is insane to me You are the bottleneck dawg You've always been the bottleneck

Every once in a while someone comments on my YT video where I talk about how I have a dedicated appointment setter that just hammers old leads and says that doesn’t make any sense. Let me introduce you to 100% remote workers from rural states and global talent brethren.

Facebook ads will expose your systems (or lack thereof) much more than any other platform due to lead quality Is the quality per lead lower than Google LSA/PPC? Absolutely But does LSA and Google PPC show your face and brand to 10,000+ people a day on top of doing lead gen???
View tweet → - 2Tweet 22026-05-18
@Prithvi_Jadwani Dawg you can’t possibly think that’s the same thing. Your name and a tiny icon in LSA’s buried with 3+ other companies and PPC with some text only after paying for the click. Vs full blown content. Cmon 😂

@nmleach_7 Have you tried bidding LSA’s at a higher rate to be top of page?

Home Service Phone Guide: Bad-Not answering your company phone and letting leads go to voicemail Better-AI answering service trained to collect contact info Very good-A human answering your phones Best-A human with product knowledge and no accent answering your phones

@Lndscpguymatt You disagree meaning you think you’ll close more jobs sending inbound calls to voicemail or to an AI answering service?

@Lndscpguymatt I think if you really lock in on global talent hiring for 1 week you’d find a weapon for less than $2500 a month

@Lndscpguymatt I only have experience with one company and it was Sagan so I’d be disingenuous to give advice on going anywhere else

@FrugeMatt Pretty close to it yes. If you had super user friendly pages that allowed me to easily navigate and make my choices I’d be pretty close

After closing on my house I’ve had these contractors out: -pressure washer -painter -drywaller -4 kitchen guys -backyard remodeler -pool guy -duct cleaner 4/10 showed up to the appts on time 1/6 who were late sent an apology text Do with that information what you’d like
View tweet → - 2Tweet 22026-04-03
@dylthorn Duct cleaner quoted remote and came to do the job. Everyone else was quotes but I ended up hiring most of them
View tweet → - 3Tweet 32026-04-03
@dylthorn Not a single one asked for the business on the spot. I asked the painter to do it on the spot and it turned out to be a disaster lol
View tweet → - 4Tweet 42026-04-03
@dylthorn Vents quoted remote and got the job booked remote! Pressure washing sent the estimate and then I approved instantly

@ToddLlewellyn 1 gave a 1 hour arrival window. And he was on time within that window. Maybe 1-2 sent on their way texts. It’s WILD out here lol
View tweet → - 7Tweet 72026-04-03
@StumpGuyTy The painter moved the finish date 3x. Took 14 working days to paint a 2100 square foot house. Asked for $1000 more while my house was covered in prep. I had to be out of my apartment on the 31st and he wasn’t done on the 30th. So my movers couldn’t move me in. Pure hell 😂
View tweet → - 8Tweet 82026-04-03
@Paul0Montenegro 3/4. 2 of the kitchen guys showed up on time for the quote. The one who came with samples and inspiration and sent follow up photo mockups of what we want got the job.

@realKellyKnight I picked my battles with a seller after getting $30k off of the list price. Don’t know how making the seller paint the interior and do duct cleaning moves the needle tbh

I put off dedicating an appointment setter for the lighting biz for too long. This isn’t her only job responsibility but she calls old leads every day for about 2-3 working hours. Cost per appt cut in half compared to relying on closers trying to do it themselves. https://t.co/O…

Just bought a house. Here’s the contractor report card so far: -Painter (referral from friend who used him) took 3 texts and 2.5 weeks to get me a quote. When I finally got the quote, I asked 1 question about ADDITIONAL WORK and he took 3 days to get back to me… he will not be
View tweet → - 2
@pestctrlguy I think people’s stomach for email is a lot more tolerable than for text so I’d even think about sending a series of 2-3 over the next 7-10 days to wrap it up.
View on X →@ToddLlewellyn @joshkadkins @hvacseo This is wildly coincidental. Got this update today from my team. We filmed all of these about 10 days ago for multiple steps in our funnel. Greeting video VSL, post booking VSL, on our way video, post quote video https://t.co/wEZhXqQpRT

Pro-tip for all SMBs. If you have inbound leads set up to auto-call connect from your CRM/phone system… you have to call again right when they don’t answer the first time. iPhones are pretty much all on DND so calling once is pretty much useless.
View on X →- 1Tweet 12026-02-25
Realllllly dialing in our systems to optimize to optimize for self-booking estimate appointments. This feels like an easy way to bump up lead-> booked appt %’s. Will keep you guys updated

Guys new to Christmas lights this year getting absolutely rinsed in most cases. Paid ad acquisition costs up about 50% on Google PPC. Meta ads after andromeda throw you in a bucket with the other 15 installers in your area so speed to lead and systems are paramount. I love it

I opted in for a mortgage quote from 2 of the national brands and they both have called me easily 2x a day, text me 1-2x a day, and email me daily. It’s been a week. That is one of the most diabolically competitive industries. Lesson there.
View tweet → - 2
Want an exercise that proves how important speed to lead and follow up is for your sales? Go opt into a national business’s sales funnel with your actual phone number and email. Want to REALLY feel it? Opt into a big mortgage company’s landing page

I interviewed a guy who sold his pest control company last year for 9 figures His team was calling/texting inbound leads 2-3x a day for 3 days AND texting selfie videos to knock them down But you’re afraid to double text… because it makes you look “desperate” Lesson there
